During the three decades that have spanned Gaye’s career in art, her focus has been painting what delights her most: the effects of atmosphere and light.

Gaye’s paintings are representational but generally rendered in a loose fashion, as understatement best suits her personality and process. It brings her great pleasure to take advantage of opportunities to travel and paint on location as frequently as her schedule allows.

Currently Gaye is working in both oil paints and in soft pastels, enjoying these mediums for their malleable and direct nature. She shows and sells her work nationally and internationally, and she also teaches both at home and abroad. In addition to being a member of the Oil Painters of America, Gaye holds senior signature status with the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Pastel Artists of Canada. She works out of her home studio in Blind Bay, BC.
